November: The New Destinations & Treatments To Know
The year might be coming to a close but in the wellness and beauty world, it's heating up! Here are the newest openings and treatment launches to know...
Duck & Dry x Maison Mirabeau Bar Launch

Duck & Dry’s four London locations are a long-standing DESTINO favourite, thanks to their reliably good blow-dries and up-dos.

This season, Duck & Dry are upping the festive ante by partnering with drinks brand Maison Mirabeau to offer a range of exclusive cocktails to sip on while they style. Using their award-winning gin and prosecco, drinks include a Pink Negroni, Rosé Prosecco and a Duck & Tonic. Teamed with one of Duck & Dry’s signature looks (we love their Hot Off The Tong), it’s a brilliant way to get ready for a night out, either solo or with a friend or family member in tow.

Bamford Opens New Treatment Rooms

Located in Brompton Cross, we hot footed it over to Bamford’s flagship London spa to be the first ever client to try out their brand new treatment rooms. Located above the store on the first floor, they sum up the visual aesthetic that we love about Bamford: the soft white walls and lime-washed wood offer a serene and chic escape that instantly helps to transport you away from the London bustle. We tried the Bamford Full Body Massage (£130), an hour-long heavenly respite that involves choosing your own scented oil that then gets heated to perfection. They also offer a host of classes including yoga, pilates and breath work in their elegant studio – regulars swear by Jasmine St Cliere’s Gong & Crystal Bowl sessions for clearing the mind.

Facialist Natasha Clancy Launches New KICHI Glaze Treatment

Natasha Clancy is a name that’s getting whispered (and increasingly, shouted from the rooftops) thanks to her truly skin-changing treatments – plus her roster of celebrity clients, including Sienna Miller, Poppy Delevingne, Iris Law and Paloma Faith.

Favouring techniques that really deliver, Natasha’s signature Baby Face Laser treatment does mean a certain amount of downtime (you’re red for up to a few hours afterwards, skin feels sandpapery for 5-7 days and you can’t wear foundation). The results are outstanding (read our full review here) but she has now launched GLAZE, so that clients can see her just before an important event too.

Using the same Lutronic thulium laser as Baby Face but only on levels 1-2 (to put that in perspective Clancy tends to start Baby Face treatments at level 7 and they can go all the way up to a rather punchy sounding level 20). At levels 1-2, it still creates the same tiny micro channels in the skin but instead of a bit of redness and roughness, you’re left with a glazed, dewy glow immediately.

Post laser, Clancy infuses high levels of antioxidants and targeted KICHI products into the skin to maximise results, while passing ice-cold wands across the face, all while you listen to meditative sound therapy. The aim is that you leave with 0 redness and her only request is that you don’t wear foundation for 7 hours afterwards. Be warned, results are addictive.

Townhouse Opens Petit Townhouse in Notting Hill

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, Townhouse is taking the UK by storm! And their latest opening is already a firm favourite. Smaller than their other London locations, Petit Townhouse still has all of the features you love – the same signature manicures, pedicures and exceptional service -albeit in a more compact, neighbourhood location, slap bang in the heart of Notting Hill.

Located at 4 Ladbroke Grove, it’s a short stroll from Holland Park and Notting Hill Gate and a great place to treat a friend or loved one to a pampering treatment.

Teresa Tarmey Opens New Cotswolds Clinic
teresatarmey.com

Facialist du jour Teresa Tarmey has announced a new clinic in the Cotswolds (where post-Covid 19 so many of the West London set have now decamped to permanently).

Offering the same advanced facial treatments as her London abode, the Cotswold outpost can be found near the village of Long Compton, making it a hop and a skip away from places like Daylesford and Soho Farmhouse. Known for her interiors eye – the Cotswolds clinic will be housed in a chic, matte black barn surrounded by views of rolling fields through its expansive windows. It soft launched last weekend and is officially open from January. We predict a Cotswold stampede, so head over to her website to book now.
