Townhouse began with one studio just off Oxford Street. They then expanded into Harrods and their beauty offshoot H-Beauty in Cribbs Causeway and Milton Keynes whilst rapidly expanding their stand-alone studios so that they now have a total of 10 locations (8 across London). All of them are high-tech yet pretty nail bars where everything has been thought of from the contactless phone chargers to the carefully curated nail menu and world’s first “nailfie” photo booth.
Instagramable interiors aside, it’s their chic nail art menu that you should head here for, with seasonal, unique designs to choose from. Their booking system is one of the best, so you can preselect everything you’d like beforehand: for instance, if you only want nail art on a couple of fingers or need add-ons like strengthening treatments and gel removal you can tailor it all to you. The upshot is a very clear appointment time and length, so you can easily plan your day around it (but if plans change, they’re kind and let you cancel up to two hours before your appointment).
Regular manicures and pedicures without nail art are also great and they only stock and use brands that are 5-free (free from nasties like formaldehyde etc). We particularly love heading here if its a special occasion or we want to treat a friend or relative – you can order champagne and they’ll rope off an area just for you.
