Founded by husband and wife team Pamela and Nick Marshall, Mortar & Milk is founded on the question – where does the customer get the skincare help they need? Having run her own clinic in California and consulted for big name brands, Pamela couldn’t shake the idea that what was needed was a home-from-home – a place where knowledge could be gained, expert treatments could be had and hand-picked products that WORK could be brought.
The result is Mortar & Milk, an airy, calming shop and clinic that was on the Fulham Road but has now moved east to a beautiful location near Spitalfields and Pamela (and Mortar & Milk) have gained a London and UK-wide reputation. Your first treatment begins with an incredibly detailed form, facial scan and talk with Pamela herself (or one of her wonderfully trained disciples). It’s at this moment that you realise that you aren’t just in for any old facial or in the presence of just another “skin expert” but instead, a walking encyclopaedia of knowledge that Pamela has gained through intense study and – perhaps most vitally – through her experience of helping hundreds of people not just tackle but actually solve problematic skin.
Treatments are therefore all bespoke, depending on your skin’s needs. Her helpful tips throughout have the power to revolutionise your skin longer-term and we defy the product recommendations she makes to not become part of your daily routine moving forward. It’s quite simply a one-of-a-kind place. Which is why, we particularly recommend it if you have a teen struggling with spots or can’t shake off what tend to be long-term issues like adult acne, rosacea or psoriasis – there’s quite literally, no better place to head to.
