Josh Wood wanted to create the ultimate anti-salon when he set up his atelier in 2011. Enter stage left, a discreet, matt-black mews house in-between Notting Hill and Holland Park. The vibe is more members club than hairdressers – with a roomy reception complete with sofas, staff that greet you by name and a cheerful, buzzy salon.
Having worked in colour for the last thirty years, Josh’s reputation has allowed him to assemble some of London’s leading colour and creative experts. The go-to’s? For colour, Melanie Smith and for styling, head to ex George Northwood protégé and editorial favourite Roi Nadin.
To ensure you use your time more efficiently, they also offer great manicures and pedicures by Sharon Gritton or book in to get your brows done by Marta or Jhenny while your colour is developing.
