The Refinery was well ahead of the curve when it launched in 2000 with a treatment menu that mixed traditional barbering with specially tailored spa treatments for men. Their aim was (and still is) to be the place for men to “relax, rejuvenate and be refined”.

Based in Mayfair, their barbering services are top-notch (and not to be overlooked) but we also particularly love them for their range of treatments. Unlike unisex spas, they’ve been able to specialise in men-only and the result is a carefully curated selection that really delivers. From their Signature Face and Body Treatment (which starts with a back cleanse and exfoliation to restore clarity to this notoriously troublesome spot) to their reflexology, sports massages, hair removal, facials, manicure and pedicures, each treatment has been carefully thought through. Their range of eponymous products have also attracted a cult following – try their Shave Oil and soothing Eye Gel.
